Shearing Combs

A suitable shearing comb is the key to good shearing. It is important to select the comb most suitable for your shearing conditions. We supply the largest range of 13 teeth combs in the world. The comb bevels vary from 3mm to 8mm. The comb width varies from 73mm to 99mm to meet customer’s needs. The most popular combs used are with bevels in 3.5, 4.5, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0mm.  And in widths 76, 87, 90, 92, 93, 94, 96, 98, 99mm. We also supply 7 knocked tooth combs, 9 tooth combs, 10 tooth narrow combs and convex combs suitable for farmers and novice shearers.

	Short Bevel: (3-4mm) Used when the shearing conditions are best and the stock are in top condition. Suitable for comb widths 76 – 99mm.
	Medium Bevel: (4.5-5.5mm) The most wildly used comb for the majority of crossbred shearing. Suitable for comb widths 76 – 99mm.
	Long Bevel: (6-8mm) Used when shearing fine wool sheep or for difficult (sticky) shearing conditions. Suitable for comb widths 76 – 93mm.
	Convex Comb: Easy wool entry, most suitable to farmers for shearing, crutching or dagging.
	Cover Comb: Leaves an extra layer of wool for winter shearing.

Cutters

A suitable cutter is very important for shearing. There are three kinds of cutters in our line of products.Thickness: Cutter thickness varies from 3.0, 3.5, 4.5 and 5.0 mm. The 3.0 and 3.5mm (thickness) cutters are for professional shearing competitions. Most farmers and shearers use the 4.5 and 5.0mm cutters.

	Type A With arc at the bottom of the teeth.
	Type B Does not have an arc.  Is straight at the bottom of teeth.
	Type C A three-pointed cutter for narrow comb shearing.

Grinders

The grinder includes a clamp plate and magnetic pendulum, grinding papers and latex adhesive for attaching the grinding papers to the grinding discs.

Handpieces

Suitable for all types of wide combs. Spare parts are available.

Shearing Machine

Model BYM-1 shearing machine comes with flexible shaft, overload protection clutch, mounting bracket and is ready for immediate use. The machine is designed for European (shearing) countries, and driven by a single phase 220V motor with output of 250W and 2800rpm. An electric pull-cord switch controls working or idle operation. The machine is supplied with a 1.7metre feet long flexible shaft. A 2metre long shaft is also available if needed. This special offer includes a high quality shearing hand-piece, comb and cutters, and spare inner gut for the flexible shaft.
